White Gomphrena, or Globe Amaranth, is an easy to grow annual flower. Gomphrena grows best in full sun and will produce loads of blooms. Gomphrena flowers can be used in fresh arrangements or dried. The plants have an airy quality which makes them a great weaver among perennials and other plants. Globe amaranth will form a low clump of fuzzy green foliage. In early summer the flowers will appear held up on sturdy, wiry stems. The plants can grow up to 2 feet when in bloom. This plant is great for dry areas and is very drought tolerant once established.
Each packet contains a minimum of 25 seeds. Gomphrena will grow and bloom best in full sun and well drained soil. Plants will bloom until the first frost. Flowers can be cut and used in fresh or dried floral arrangements.
