The Apricot/ Peach Shades Strawflowers will provide lots of color in flower gardens through the summer. As flowers begin to bloom the heads can be harvested and dried for floral craft projects. Helichrysum braceatum are summer annuals and can grow up to 3 feet tall. In mid summer the well branched plants are covered in 2" papery flower heads. This strawflower mix contains flowers in a rich peach to apricot shades. For drying purposes cut the flower heads while they are still tight buds. Hang them upside down in a cool place to dry for several weeks. The stems can sometimes be weakened during the drying process and the addition of a floral wire before hanging will give the stem added support.

Each seed packet contains a minimum of 45 seeds. The seeds are small and tricky to count so I always add extras. Each order comes with complete growing instructions. Strawflowers will grow and bloom best in at least 6 hours of full sunlight. Helichrysum is drought tolerant once established.
