San Marzano is a classic paste tomato and is one of the best for making home made sauces. Healthy plants bear large, meaty fruit with very few seeds. The tomato has a slightly elongated shape. Fruits have green striped shoulders that ripen to a deep red.
This is an indeterminate variety of tomato. 90 days from seed. The plants will grow large so make sure they are grown on a sturdy trellis or fence. I usually get sporadic fruit early in the season. By mid summer the plants are covered with red tomatoes. This is great for home canning as the fruits tend to come on all at once.
25 Seeds per packet. All seeds come packaged in a kraft paper envelope with complete growing instructions.
