Rudbeckia hirta 'Sahara' is a great mix of warm colored blooms. This semi hardy Black Eyed Susan is great in mixed floral arrangements. Most of the flowers are double with a color range of gold, yellow and burgundy. Sahara Rudbeckia will grow approx. 2 feet tall and wide. The plant will produce the most blooms when grown in full sun. This Rudbeckia is drought tolerant but will bloom best with regular watering.
I treat Sahara Rudbeckia as an annual. Many of the hirta varieties will die once they are allowed to set seeds. This is a great variety for cut flowers. Each plant produces loads of blooms on strong stems.
