Rudbeckia fulgida Goldsturn Rudbeckia, Easy to Grow Black Eye Susan Great for Butterfly Gardens
Rudbeckia fulgilda, 'Goldsturm' is an easy care Black Eye Susan. Rudbeckia 'Goldsturn' was named the 1999 Perennial of the Year. Bright yellow daisy shaped flowers will add easy color to informal borders and containers. Black Eye Susan flowers bloom on sturdy stems which make them ideal for cut flowers. The plants begin blooming in July and will continue until fall. I leave my seedheads standing in the winter- the goldfinches love them!
Rudbeckia fulgilda is easy to grow in full sun and well drained soil. This is a perennial plant in zones 3-9. This is a perennial and will not begin blooming until the second season when grown from seed.
