The Orange Scented Geranium has soft foliage that emits a clean fresh fragrance. Scented pelargoniums are great used in container gardens or in the herb garden. This variety of fragrant pelargonium does grow a bit bigger than other varieties. It can grow up to a foot tall during the growing season. I keep the tips pinched back to form a bushier plant. The leaves have a fuzzy texture with a very subtle citrus scent. This variety of scented geraniums does bear sporadic pink flowers throughout the growing season. You will receive a fully rooted plant in a four inch nursery pot. Since this variety does grow quickly the growing tips may be pinched back before shipping.
I treat scented pelargoniums as annuals in my zone 6 garden. They are easy to pot up and bring indoors for the winter at the end of the growing season. I grow this plant for it's ornamental value and fragrance. The leaves can be used in jellies and sugars. The fragrant leaves are a wonderful addition to small cut flower arrangements
