Organic Lemon Queen Sunflower Seeds Fresh Seeds From This Year's Crop
This listing is for 25 seeds of the annual Lemon Queen sunflower. All seeds are collected fresh from this years harvest. Lemon Queen sunflowers grows 7-8 feet tall. Sturdy stems produce and abundance of blooms. Large chocolate brown central disc is surrounded by pale yellow petals. This variety of sunflower produces lots of side shoots with smaller flower heads. Great for cutting gardens. Lemon Queen sunflowers work well in informal, cottage style bouquets.
Sunflowers are a great way to bring much needed pollinators to your garden. This row is on the back edge of my large vegetable garden. You can leave the plants standing to dry in the garden. Golden finches will flock to the large dried heads to devour the nutritious seeds. I cover seed heads I am collecting with paper lunch bags, see last photo. If I'm tired of looking at the dried plants I cut the large heads off and hang them off the fence line with raffia. The birds will still find them.
All seeds come packed in simple kraft paper envelopes. All orders come with complete, detailed growing instructions. Seeds are cleaned by hand and small natural bits of chaff may be present.
