Anise Hyssop Golden Jubilee, Agastache foeniculum, Great for Pollinator Gardens
Anise Hyssop, Agastache foeniculum 'Golden Jubilee' will add color and fragrance to the herb garden. Anise Hyssop is highly aromatic and great to bring much needed pollinators into the garden. This Hyssop variety, 'Golden Jubilee', has wonderful chartreuse foliage. The foliage is brightest through spring and early summer and tends to "green out" in the summer heat. Anise Hyssop can grow 2-3 feet tall when in flower. The flowers are rich purple spikes and are a favorite of bees and other pollinators. Hyssop has many herbal uses but I must admit I grow it for purely ornamental purposes!
Anise Hyssop is a perennial in zones 4-9. Hyssop grows best in full sun and well drained soil. Agastache will bloom from seed the first year if seeds are started in late winter.
Seeds come packaged in simple kraft paper envelopes and come with detailed growing instructions. Each packet contains a minimum of 30 seeds harvested from this year's crop.
