Aster tartaricus begins blooming in September and continues into November. This colorful aster is adaptable to a wide range of growing conditions. The plants are container grown in 4 inch pots.
This easy care aster is very tolerant of many soil types and growing conditions.This is a perennial plant in znes 3-8. Tatarian aster can grow up to 3-4 feet when in flower and requires no staking. The pale lavender flowers measure approx. an inch. This aster is rarely bothered by fungal disease and is much less fussy than other types of asters. It is extremely drought tolerant once established. The plant can spread 1-3 feet and will form impressive colonies once established. Make sure you plant it where it has room to grow.
